STORAGE TIPS

  • Place wooden pallets on the floor of the storage space then stack items on the pallets.
  • Stack boxes to make the most efficient use of the storage space.
  • Place the heavier, sturdier items at the bottom working up to lightest items on top
  • Check stacks for stability
  • Leave an aisle to assure access belongings at the back of the storage space.
  • Conserve space by doing things like removing table legs, standing mattresses on end, placing items in empty drawers, etc.
  • Label boxes clearly
  • Keep an inventory
  • Place valuable items in the back of the storage space.
  • Be sure labels to face out so they can be easily read.
  • Place dust covers over mattresses and furniture
  • Tape all boxes to protect from dust.
